Margaret Greenwood
Margaret trained at Lady Mabel College achieving a Cert Ed PE Specialist Course – specialising in Dance. She also has a B.Ed(Hons) Dance and Education from Sheffield University. She has taught KS3, GCSE and A-level dance for a number of years across the Rochdale Borough and has completed the Leading Dance with Older People course which enabled her to work for Spiral Dance as dance artist to deliver the Older Peoples Project. She is currently a Freelance Dance Teacher and teaches at a secondary school.
Areas of Dance Interest: Older People, Creative Curriculum- Using dance to support teaching and learning.

Jennifer Blackburn
Jen graduated with a First Class, BA (Hons) Dance Studies with Choreography/Performance from Liverpool John Moores University. She has trained in Contemporary, Jazz and Ballroom Dancing but has extensive experience teaching/ practicing other styles such as Somatic Practice. Jen worked with Spiral Dance as the 'Let's Dance Folkways' project coordinator and lead dance artist. She was also the project manager for DanceSyndrome. She is currently working as a freelance dance artist and completing a PGCE.
Areas of Dance Interest: Inclusive Dance Practive, Children and Young People, Site Specific Dance, Dance and Technology, Active Adults, Intergenerational Practice.

Sophie Taylor
Sophie graduated from York St John University where she studied contemporary dance, dance within the community and choreography. Sophie has been involved with Spiral Dance since a young age participating in and performing in a variety of projects. Sophie volunteered with Spiral Dance and now works with us to deliver some of our regular over 50's classes and project work.. Sophie is currently working as a freelance dance artist.
Areas of Dance Interest: Choreography, Children and Young Adults, Creativity in Education, Inclusive Dance Practice.

Romina Thornton
Romina gained a BA (Hons) in Communication Arts Studies in Media and Performance - Dance at York St John College. Since then, Romina has been involved in a variety of dance projects, teaching both curriculum and non curriculum based classes to pupils of all ages and varied ability. Romina previously undertook the role of Youth Coordinator for Spiral Dance and was a performer and member of the professional contemporary dance company 'Eklectika'. Romina has nearly 10 years experience, building a wealth of knowledge and love for her art. She has recently studied a PGCE in Education and Training in the Post Compulsory Sector. Romina is now excited to undertake her new venture in setting up 'Sartorial Dance' and to be back working with the Spiral team.
Areas of Dance Interest: Youth dance, site specific, collaborative work, cross curricular links and choreography.

Clare Fildes
Clare trained at Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts. She has toured across Asia and Europe as a performer and worked in London as a dancer and choreographer. Since 1999 Clare has worked across Manchester including community, education, private dance schools, gyms, hair and fashion shows, contemporary dance companies. Clare has worked with numerous dance companies and currently performs with Axial Dance Company and Void Dance Company. The age range Clare teaches spans from babies through to 90 years with key current projects being Bury Youth Dance, under5s dance at The Lowry and over 50s at Sale Waterside Arts.
Areas of Dance Interest: Under 5s dance, intergenerational projects, site specific dance, inclusive dance, cross curricular dance, choreography.
